City of Redondo Beach became the sister city of Xicheng District in 2008.

Founded in 1892, the City of Redondo Beach is located in the South Bay region of the western coastal edge of Los Angeles County in the U.S. state of California. It neighbors the Pacific Ocean in the west, Los Angeles International Airport in the north and Interstate 405 in the east. Port of Long Beach is located about 10 miles southeast of the city. So Redondo Beach has been a preferred resort destination for more than a century and one of the most desirable areas to live in the country. It has beautiful scenery and pleasant weather, friendly citizens, convenient transportation, well-equipped public facilities, and prosperous business and tourism industry. These industrial, commercial and service industries provide jobs for the citizens here, which also become an important source of tax revenue for the government.
