By the end of 2018, the number of all kinds of units in Xicheng District has reached 57065, among which legal entities has reached 45851 and industrial establishments 11214. Besides, there are 16066 individual industrial and commercial households.

According to the preliminary statistics from the financial sector, budget revenue of public finance of 2018 has reached 43.08 billion yuan with a year-on-year increase of 2.1%. Five main types of tax including the Added Value Tax, Business Tax, Property Tax, the Tax on City Maintenance and Construction, and Stamp Tax have altogether reached 38.73 billion yuan, up 1.0 percent year on year, which accounts for 89.9% of the budget revenue of public finance of 2018. To be more detailed, the Business Tax reached 15.18 billion yuan, the Added Value Tax 14.25 billion yuan, the Property Tax 4.36 billion yuan, the Tax on City Maintenance and Construction 3.43 billion yuan, and Stamp Tax 1.51 billion yuan. Budget expenditure of public finance of 2018 has reached 42.97 billion yuan with a year-on-year decrease of 0.2 percent. In the end of 2018, the urban registered unemployment rate of Xicheng District was 0.87% with a decrease of 0.01 percentage point compared to the previous year. Grouped by sectors, retail sales in retail trade have topped 88.28 billion yuan, wholesale trade 5.63 billion yuan, catering trade 8.7 billion yuan, and accommodation trade 1.7 billion yuan.
